Indeed, it does look like most of the island that was there yesterday is now gone. Just the two high points remain (the remnants of the previous islands Hunga Tonga and Hunga Haʻapai, which were joined by a land bridge by a previous eruption, which grew in recent weeks). https://twitter.com/ThomasOrmston/status/1482449626460565506

The land bridge itself had been severed in the past week, and now most of the reset of the island is gone, with two islets remaining.
