e.g: what's with Google Cloud Print? I need a cloud enabled printer (or routed through Chrome on Windows/Mac) to access a printer on my LAN?

and apparently last week this model of Chromebook had access to the Android Play Store, and this week it doesn't.

The geek option is to use a chroot Linux environment on Chromebook, and I probably will do that, but trying out basic capabilities first.
